KORG X3 Connection to the MAC

I don't get sound through my earphones - what should I do ?

• Check the Physical Connections
  • Check the Power Supply and Switches
  • Check the Earphone Plug and Adapter
  • Check the MIDI cables going out of the X3 into the MIDI Box
  • Check the Switch on the MIDI Box
  • Check the MIDI cable going out of the MIDI box into the MAC

• Check the Keyboard Settings
  • Make sure the KORG X3 is working in General MIDI mode by pressing following Buttons:
    [SEQ] - [Edit] - [Function 8] - [Cursor Up] to "F" - 2 x [^/YES]
  • Switch on the Local Control by pressing the Buttons:
    [GLOBAL] - [Function 3] - [Cursor Up] to "B" - [^/YES]

• Check the MAC System Configuration
  • Click on the Icon in the upper right corner of the Macintosh Desktop to make sure no other program than "Finder", "Netscape" and "Explorations" is currently executed. If so, change to these Programs and quit them.

• Check the Software Settings in Explorations
  • Look under Exploration Subject Access
